LVT Customs

Terms for customs work

Effective from 20 October 2026.

1. Scope

These terms apply to all customs tasks that LVT Transport ApS (LVT Customs) performs or arranges for the customer. Tasks are performed by LVT and its authorised customs partners.

NSAB 2015 applies otherwise. In case of conflict, these terms prevail.

2. Order and price

LVT starts only when the customer has accepted the price in writing or via our link. The price applies to the information and documents sent. If the task changes, the price may change.

3. Power of attorney and representation

The customer ensures a power of attorney from the consignee (import) or exporter (export), so LVT and the customs partner can act as direct representative under the Union Customs Code (Regulation 952/2013) Art. 18.

If no power of attorney exists, this must be stated when ordering. If it cannot be obtained, the task is not performed.

4. Duty to inform

The customer must state in writing whether the goods are subject to excise, require a licence, permit or inspection, are subject to export control (including dual-use), sanctions, dangerous goods rules, anti-dumping or countervailing duty, or whether a Binding Tariff Information (BTI) exists.

If nothing is stated, LVT may assume that no such conditions apply. The customer must provide all necessary licences and permits.

5. Correct and complete information

The customer warrants that information and documents are correct, complete and genuine – including values, descriptions and proofs of origin.

The consignee's VAT and EORI numbers and the place of delivery must appear on the invoice. The customer warrants that the VAT number is valid and that the goods are transported to the stated place of delivery, which the customer must be able to document afterwards.

6. Classification (HS codes)

The customer is responsible for the commodity codes stated. Any guidance from LVT or the customs partner on classification is for guidance only.

7. Transit (T1)

If a transit document (T1/NCTS) is issued, the customer warrants that the transit is carried out and closed correctly and on time at the destination.

8. Indemnity

The customer indemnifies LVT and the customs partner against any claim, including duties, VAT, excise, fines, interest and costs, arising from incorrect, incomplete, undocumented or late information, a missing power of attorney, an invalid VAT number, incorrect classification or a transit not closed correctly.

9. Payment and disbursements

Duties, VAT and charges to the authorities are paid by the customer or importer. LVT only pays on their behalf by agreement and against prepayment. Disbursements are re-invoiced with a disbursement fee.

This also applies if deadlines are missed because documentation is missing and costs arise as a result.

10. Storage and fees

Goods awaiting clearance may incur storage charges after a short free period. Fees may apply on public holidays.

11. Review before price

Our review of the documents before quoting is a check of whether they appear complete. It is not advice, and LVT accepts no liability before a task has been accepted.

12. Confidentiality and personal data

Information and documents are used only for the task and shared only with the customs partner and the authorities. If the customer is a forwarder, we do not contact its customers without agreement – unless the customer asks us to, e.g. to obtain a power of attorney. See also our privacy policy.

13. Governing law

Danish law applies.
