Transit
T1 in NCTS.
If the goods are to be cleared somewhere other than the border – e.g. at the consignee or a warehouse – they travel under T1 transit. We issue the document and follow up.
What you get
Clarified before filing
T1 to the office of destination
The transit is opened at the border and closed at the destination.
Guarantee
Transit requires a guarantee for duties and taxes – we handle it.
Follow-up on closure
A T1 must be closed correctly and on time. We follow up so no claims arise later.
Norway and Sweden
Also at the borders between Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
What we need
The documents for fast clearance
If something is missing, we tell you straight away – before it costs time at the border.
- Commercial invoice with consignor, consignee, place of delivery, goods, value and Incoterm
- The consignee's VAT and EORI numbers (must appear on the invoice)
- Packing list with packages and weight
- Waybill: CMR, B/L or AWB
- Proof of origin if duty relief is claimed – e.g. EUR.1, A.TR or a statement on origin (REX)
- Power of attorney from the consignee or exporter
- Licences, certificates or permits if the goods require them
Questions
What we are often asked
When is a T1 used?
When goods from a non-EU country travel on under customs supervision and are cleared elsewhere, e.g. at the consignee.
What happens if a T1 is not closed?
The customs authorities may claim duties and taxes. That is why the destination must report arrival correctly – we follow up on it.
